Rapier is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our fostering services, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to foster carers, ensuring the well-being and safety of children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of foster carers, providing regular visits, support, and guidance to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Conduct thorough assessments and reviews of foster carers, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children and families.
- Develop and deliver training programs for foster carers, focusing on best practices, child development, and trauma-informed care.
- Participate in recruitment events, form F assessments, and other activities to promote our fostering services and attract new carers.
- UK resident with a Social Work Diploma/Degree.
- Proven experience in fostering, with a strong understanding of child development, trauma, and attachment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, children, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of our services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions.
- A competitive salary of £40,000 FTE, with annual increases of 1-3%.
