We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Engineer to join our team at SSE, a leading energy company in the UK. As a SCADA Engineer, you will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of our onshore wind farms, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our energy infrastructure.

• Manage and support the operational SCADA and control system platform, including hardware, software, integration, and commissioning.
• Provide technical expertise and support to various departments and divisions within the SSE portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance requirements and timescales are met.
• Develop and implement engineering improvements to guarantee uptime of systems and ensure data accuracy.

• Diploma qualification in Engineering or Information Technology, with proven hands-on experience in server operating hardware, software, and components.
• Knowledge of PLC operation and management, as well as server builds, database configurations, and electrical/control cabinet installation and configuration.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence across varying levels of stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of the implications of engineering activities and decisions.
• Full, current driving license, as remote working will be required as part of the role.
