Overview

Nigel Frank International is a leading provider of IT solutions and services, specialising in DBA and development work. We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team as a key member of our technical staff.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated SQL Server Database Administrator to support our clients with the administration of their on-premises and Azure-based servers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database installation, backup, restore, and maintenance, as well as experience with high availability and provisioning/configuring SQL Server.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our clients through proactive issue resolution and effective communication
  • Work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet our clients' needs
  • Maintain and improve our clients' databases, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Collaborate with our developers to design and implement database solutions that meet our clients' business requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SQL Server and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in SQL Server database administration
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server features, including high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
  • Experience with Azure-based servers and migration projects would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
