Job Summary

Pact is seeking a skilled and compassionate childcare professional to join our team as a Visits Centre Assistant. This role involves working with children visiting the prison, providing play opportunities and supporting their well-being.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and implement engaging play activities that cater to different age groups and abilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and stimulating play environment
  • Monitor and report on the progress and welfare of children participating in the play project
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g., degree or diploma)
  • Have a minimum of 12 months' experience in play work with children, ideally in a challenging setting
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Show sensitivity and understanding when interacting with children from diverse backgrounds
