Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at Premier Group Recruitment. As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop product concepts using 2D and 3D CAD software
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure timely and cost-effective production
  • Test and prototype products to ensure quality and functionality
  • Create technical documentation and project reports
  • Update 3D models and drawings as required
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs
  • Check drawings for sign off
  • Work collaboratively with a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials
  • Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
  • Hands-on technical experience through your course
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
