Salary: £22,737 - £23,500 (£19, £20,246.15 pro-rata)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on individual with a passion for engineering and education to join our team as a Workshop Technician. The successful candidate will support the smooth running of our engineering workshops, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in practical lessons, ensuring all equipment is set up and ready to use.
- Preparing teaching areas and ensuring all materials are in place for effective learning.
- Maintaining, checking, and repairing equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Ensuring a safe and secure environment for students and staff by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Performing general housekeeping tasks to keep the workshop and stores well-organized.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a strong background in engineering.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and effective learning environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
