Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the calibration of dimensional metrology equipment, including CMM machines, and ensuring that all measurements are accurate and reliable. They will also be responsible for maintaining relevant records of work, data, and results in a traceable and auditable manner.

  • Calibrate various jigs and fixtures with CMM machines.
  • Measure special products with CMM machines, from simple to complex.
  • Operate Zeiss and Mitutoyo CMM machines using Calypso 7 software.
  • Read technical and CAD drawings to operate equipment and measure required details.
  • Maintain the Calibration Database and filing system.
  • Assist with on-the-job training when required.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Inspection and Calibration procedures.
  • Participate in external and internal audits as required by the Trescal Quality Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with QH&S/HS&E aspects of work and provide adequate training and dissemination of knowledge on safety and other general matters.
Requirements
  • Ideal technical qualification: degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above.
  • Knowledge of Windows-based and laboratory automation software.
