About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team at the Sittingbourne Delivery Office. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of parcels to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver parcels to customers in the assigned area, using route-planning technology tools to ensure efficient delivery routes.
- Prep your van and workload for the day, ensuring you are ready to hit the road and deliver parcels on time.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service and representing Royal Mail in a positive light.
- Work independently, using your own initiative to manage your workload and meet delivery targets.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.54, paid monthly, as well as overtime paid at 1.25 x the normal hourly rate. You will also receive 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (pro-rata), and full uniform provided. In addition, you will have access to our company pension scheme, with competitive contribution rates, and excellent family-friendly support, including enhanced maternity pay, paternity leave, adoption leave, and shared parental leave.
Requirements
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Upbeat, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Organised, punctual, and with great initiative.
- Committed to delivering great customer service.
- Comfortable interacting with customers and acting as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.
