The Town of Weymouth seeks a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join its Department of Planning. Under the guidance of the Director of Planning, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing traffic studies and reports, investigating complaints, and coordinating the installation of traffic control devices. They will also analyze roadways for vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle travel, and develop programs to mitigate traffic congestion and improve travel safety.

To be considered, candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with 7-10 years of traffic engineering experience preferably within a municipal/state government environment. A master's degree is preferred. Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in Massachusetts is required. The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $89,916.03 and $110,821.71 annually.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in transportation and traffic engineering, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be able to communicate effectively with regional, state, and federal agencies, organizations, and developers.
