Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Pitched Roofing Systems

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Pitched Roofing Systems to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating and quantity surveying for a range of pitched roofing projects, including residential and commercial buildings. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
  • Producing accurate and detailed quotations to clients
  • Monitoring project costs throughout the construction process, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommended values
  • Building and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors
  • Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Either pitched roofing estimating or roofing quantity surveying experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Adaptability and the ability to turn your hand to other responsibilities
  • A full UK driving license
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office
