Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our Special Projects Team at North Star. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Design SMEs to develop and implement vessel design and modification projects.
  • Work with our Operations Director and Technical Managers to identify and implement new technologies and systems that support our decarbonization strategy.
  • Develop and maintain detailed drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and other software suites.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify solutions to technical and operational challenges.
  • Provide technical advice and support to our clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and reports to support our business needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Naval Architecture or a related field.
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA).
  • Relevant shipyard or design office experience.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
