The ideal candidate will have broad expertise across contentious and non-contentious aspects of education law, with experience in advising maintained schools and academies on issues such as admissions, exclusions, student behaviour and discipline, safeguarding, special educational need and equality issues, complaints and claims, inspection advice, EHCP consultations, and funding issues.
Critical incident management and reputation protection are also key aspects of the role, so some experience in these areas would be beneficial.
You'll work closely with our team lead for academies and maintained school practice, helping to service and supervise the work of the team and delivering our strategy at a time of political change and huge opportunity for the sector.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including hybrid working arrangements, opportunities for professional development, and a warm and friendly culture.
