About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Children's Intensive Support Team (IST) in Coventry and Warwickshire. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing assessment and behavioural/therapeutic treatment programmes for children and young people with autism and/or learning disabilities in mental health crisis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the nursing team and contribute to service developments
  • Provide assessment and behavioural/therapeutic treatment programmes
  • Liaise with and work collaboratively with other agencies according to the needs of the young person

Requirements

  • Registered mental health/LD nurse, with postgraduate qualification (PgDip, MSc or equivalent)
  • Skilled in the use of complex methods of psychological/behavioural assessment, intervention and management
  • Experience of contributing to service developments and supervision of staff
