Senior Audio Visual Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Audio Visual Technician to join our team at Urus Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining our range of AV equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• On-site support for projects of all sizes, including technical rig, client liaison, rehearsals, and show operation.
• Providing training and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Representing the company as a point of contact for clients.
• Working with the project management team to determine requirements and deliver solutions effectively and professionally.
• Preparation of equipment prior to dispatch.
• Assisting in planning and pre-event testing of full AV systems.
• Occasional delivery and collection of equipment.
• Dealing with customer dry hire collections and returns.
• Assisting with the management of rental stock.
• Reporting missing items and damages.
• Maintaining company standards and methods when working with freelance crew.
• Simple maintenance and servicing of company equipment.
About You:
• Passion for all things AV, including lighting, sound, video, graphics, and IT.
• Minimum of 3-5 years live events experience as an events technician in the Audio Visual industry.
• Fundamental understanding of audio visual technical equipment and connectivity.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills, while being flexible to the needs of the client and business.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Sufficiently acceptant and mobile to travel as required within the UK, Europe, and beyond.
• Positive attitude to instruction and learning.
• Open to widening your skillsets.
• Highly motivated and positive, even in adversity.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
