NES Fircroft is a leading recruitment agency in the field of biotechnology and life sciences. We are working with a Crop Protection Solutions Company that is seeking a Yeast Technical Expert to join their team on an initial 3-year contract.

**Job Description**

We are looking for a highly skilled Yeast Technical Expert to join our client's research and development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and communicating impact of yeast-based heterologous gene expression approaches to cross-indication project support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology, genetics, or biochemistry, preferably with experience of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and other fungi. They will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to present scientific work in a clear and concise manner.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

The following qualifications are required for this role:

• 2-4 years of experience in a scientific laboratory setting in molecular biology, genetics, or biochemistry
• Experience with Bioinformatic tools, literature search tools, general information databases, and Microsoft-based document and communication software
• MSc, PhD, or equivalent degree in a relevant field
