We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Adult Health Systems product. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational processes related to the ICT strategy for Adult Social Care and Health Integration.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the ICT strategy for Adult Social Care and Health Integration, ensuring alignment with the Council's corporate strategies.
- Manage the development and implementation of integrated systems across health and social care, ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Lead the successful implementation of substantial change programmes and complex service developments in the public sector.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders across the Council, partner agencies, central government, and other local authorities.
- Commission providers to devise and develop integrated systems that impact on partners and clients.
- Manage complex projects and initiatives concurrently, prioritizing tasks strategically and retaining objectivity under pressure.
- Apply techniques of business process mapping and business process re-engineering to analyse service needs and deliver improvements to working practices.
- Develop and implement a digital strategy for Adult Social Care and Health, promoting self-service and process efficiencies.
- Ensure that all Adult Social Services electronic recording systems and policies comply with national and local requirements and expectations.
- Manage contractual relationships with ICT system suppliers and liaise with the ICT Client Unit to ensure value for money for the Council.
- Experience of working at a senior level in an organisation.
- Significant experience in a management role with direct responsibility for information systems and/or social work recording practice.
- Experience of leading the successful implementation of substantial change programmes and/or complex service developments in the public sector.
- A professional qualification in an area relevant to the post, such as management, projects or programme management, ICT or social work.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write clear policy and procedural documents.
- Able to work with complex ideas and data and to communicate them to a variety of audiences.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to persuade stakeholders at all levels, especially senior managers.
- Knowledgeable of methods and techniques for negotiating the supply of services and managing delivery against agreed criteria and service levels.
- Strong track record of financial and resource management, including the ability to estimate resource requirements to a reasonable degree of accuracy.
