Youth Development Opportunities

Social Care and Education Jobs is seeking a passionate Youth Development Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to young adults with disabilities.

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with young adults aged 16-25 years, supporting them in achieving their goals and developing essential life skills. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resident Support: Work directly with young adults, supporting them in achieving their personal goals and developing essential life skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and support services.
  • Health and Safety: Prioritize the health and well-being of the young adults at all times.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to support development and well-being plans.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
Essential Criteria:
  • Level 3 Diploma or Equivalent: In Children or Adults.
  • Experience Working with Younger Adults: Aged 16-25 years.
  • Preferably: Experience within an educational special needs setting.
  • Safeguarding Principles: Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and deprivation of liberties.

Salary: £30,300 per annum, plus £4,500 per year night shift enhancement. Hours: 7:45 PM - 8:15 AM, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (Average 44.58 hours per week).
