Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our team at Triumph Consultants Ltd. As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of children under your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Manage a team of Residential Practitioners, coordinate activities, and liaise with external agencies to ensure the smooth operation of the children's home.
  • Child Care and Support: Provide inspirational care, tailored to the individual needs of the children and young people, which facilitates a sense of belonging, assists them to understand, address and work through their past experiences and present difficulties and behaviours, and prepares them for their full potential.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Advocate for the needs and rights of children, representing the children's home in relevant forums and discussions.
  • Risk Management: Respond appropriately, alongside colleagues, to the presenting needs of the children and young people, to help them feel safe and well cared for, and take all reasonable steps to locate and ensure the safe return of any young people who are missing from the home.
  • Administrative Tasks: Be responsible for access to petty cash, monies for trips, outdoor activities, and holidays, and contribute to the Regulation 44 monitoring visits and regulatory inspections positively and proactively.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSE Grade A – C in Maths and English or a qualification that is equivalent or higher, and a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or the equivalent.
  • Experience: Relevant experience of working as a qualified Residential Practitioner in a Children's Home, and experience of completing risk assessments and risk analysis of vulnerable young people.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with children, staff, families, and external stakeholders, and skills in managing teams and functioning as an integral member of the management team.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7am to 11pm shift work, with occasional on-site visits.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
