Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Biomedical Scientist to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, maintaining analytical equipment, and ensuring quality indices meet regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient laboratory operations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot analytical equipment, including assay issues
  • Perform and review quality assurance procedures, including reports and interpretation within scope of practice
  • Supervise and organize a team of Biomedical Scientists and Biomedical Support Workers

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a hospital laboratory, including operation and maintenance of analytical equipment and quality indices
  • Experience of co-ordinating day-to-day laboratory activities
  • Technical understanding of analytical platforms for routine patient sample testing and clinical understanding of data produced by such testing
  • Experience of IQC/EQA and its use, as well as other quality activities such as auditing and change control
