Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Biomedical Scientist to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, maintaining analytical equipment, and ensuring quality indices meet regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient laboratory operations
- Maintain and troubleshoot analytical equipment, including assay issues
- Perform and review quality assurance procedures, including reports and interpretation within scope of practice
- Supervise and organize a team of Biomedical Scientists and Biomedical Support Workers
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a hospital laboratory, including operation and maintenance of analytical equipment and quality indices
- Experience of co-ordinating day-to-day laboratory activities
- Technical understanding of analytical platforms for routine patient sample testing and clinical understanding of data produced by such testing
- Experience of IQC/EQA and its use, as well as other quality activities such as auditing and change control
