We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Children's Healthcare Support Specialist to join our dedicated team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a key member of our paediatric department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and young people.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, to deliver high-quality care in our Tertiary Children's Hospital.

About the Role

  • Provide emotional and practical support to children, young people, and their families
  • Assist with personal care and ensure the well-being of patients
  • Support the clinical team with observations and treatments
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals as part of a team

Requirements

  • GCSE A*-C in English Language or equivalent and GCSE A*-C in Mathematics or equivalent
  • Level 3 qualification in any subject or equivalent experience
  • Acute caring experience in an acute healthcare or social care setting
  • Experience working with children and young people or a passion for doing so

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
