Project Research Assistant Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Project Research Assistant to work alongside our research team at the University of Wolverhampton on a project examining online peer support for individuals affected by gambling harms.

This study combines mixed-methods research, featuring interviews with service providers, forum moderators, and individuals with lived experience of gambling harms. Our collaborative research team comprises experts from the University of Wolverhampton, Liverpool John Moores University, and Magenta Research.

Key Duties:

  • Contribute to literature reviews and empirical studies focusing on online peer support
  • Support qualitative research methods, conducting and analyzing interviews, and secondary qualitative data analysis
  • Assist in quantitative research methods, supporting survey design and analysis
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including assistance with stakeholder workshops
  • Collaborate on report and article writing

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a good first degree or equivalent in psychology or a related field, with a strong emphasis on qualitative and quantitative methods. While a postgraduate qualification is desirable, it's not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with lived experience of gambling harms. Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English are required.

Salary: £28,500 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
