Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Prescot - Hybrid after probation (3 days in office, 2 days at home)

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 + Study Support

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing e-commerce/retail business as an Assistant Management Accountant. The company, with a turnover of c.GBP40mil and year-on-year growth, is looking to add a talented individual to their small but growing finance team.

As a key member of the finance team, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director to support the implementation of their ERP system using Microsoft Dynamics 365 F & O. Once implemented, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the system, maintaining its integrity, and performing reconciliations across all functions to ensure its accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining the setup requirements and controls within the ERP on a day-to-day basis
  • Reconciling customer demand coming in with customer orders going out and the control processes in between
  • Reconciling customer transactions to external bank and credit card payments and the associated control processes
  • Controlling the sales ledger and investigating any unusual customer balances
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing the company's cash flow
  • Assisting with the production of the monthly accounts and forecasts
  • Helping prepare the annual accounts and full supporting schedules ready for the annual audit
  • Supporting the purchase ledger team when required
  • Producing ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as required by the directors and senior management

This is a fantastic opportunity to play an instrumental part within the friendly finance team and gain broad exposure. To be considered, you will be actively studying towards your ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification.
