We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Network Engineer to join our client, a leading London-based Computer Networking company, in their mission to revolutionise AI systems while reducing energy consumption and striving for a sustainable future.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FPGA design for 100Gb/s networks, with experience in high-speed interfacing and memory access, such as PCIe, CXL, RDMA, DDR4, Ethernet, and GTM. They will also have a solid understanding of clock domain and crossing techniques, as well as FPGA tool flows, including synthesis, partitioning, place and route, and timing analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working within a multidisciplinary R&D team to generate product ideas, product concepts, and resolving any issues. They will also be required to present products internally to management and other stakeholders, as well as delivering FPGA-based systems for internal and client use.

The role requires a strong understanding of SystemVerilog, Verilog, and VHDL, as well as experience with Xilinx Versal Premium and Intel Agilex 7. The ideal candidate will also have strong scripting experience with TCL and/or Python, and experience with Questa, ModelSim, GHDL, Verilator, Quartus, Vivado, and Vitis.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in High-Level Synthesis (HLS) and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics engineering or a relevant field. They will also be required to work in a hybrid environment and may be required to relocate.

The company offers a competitive salary of up to £120k DOE, as well as lucrative stock options, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working, relocation assistance, and visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a multidisciplinary R&D team to generate product ideas, product concepts, and resolve any issues.
  • Presenting products internally to management and other stakeholders.
  • Inhouse and external prototyping.
  • Delivering FPGA-based systems for internal and client use.
  • Delivering risk analyses, test plans, protocols report writing, and documentation for FPGA systems.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on industry experience in FPGA design for 100Gb/s networks.
  • Experience with high-speed interfacing and memory access, such as PCIe, CXL, RDMA, DDR4, Ethernet, and GTM.
  • Strong understanding of clock domain and crossing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of FPGA tool flows, including synthesis, partitioning, place and route, and timing analysis.
  • Strong SystemVerilog, Verilog, and VHDL skills.
  • Experience with Xilinx Versal Premium and Intel Agilex 7.
  • Strong scripting experience with TCL and/or Python.
  • Experience with Questa, ModelSim, GHDL, Verilator, Quartus, Vivado, and Vitis.
