Job Overview

This is a highly rewarding role as a full-time night care support worker for an individual with complex needs living in Dewsbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care and be able to provide 1:1 support, assist with daily living tasks, and engage in activities such as baking and hobbies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including washing and dressing
  • Assist with basic domiciliary duties, meal preparation, and more skilled tasks such as JEJ tubes, injections & syringe drivers
  • Train in IV line care
  • Participate in social and leisure activities, such as chatting, baking, knitting, and fused glass making
  • Support independence and facilitate communication

Requirements

  • 6 months of care experience (minimum)
  • Experience with complex tasks (JEJ, PEG, Injections)
  • Female candidate preferred due to working 1:1 in personal care
  • Reliable, respectful, friendly, and flexible
  • Availability for training days (TBC)

Pay Information

The hourly rate for this position is £13.00, increasing to £13.50 after training, with annual increases. Shifts are worked via a rota, with all breaks paid. The main shift times are 10pm-10am, and the candidate will work 3 shifts per week (36 hours), with the ability to pick up extra shifts covering holidays.

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who is outgoing, friendly, and has an excellent grasp of English. The ideal candidate will have a good sense of humour, be an excellent communicator and active listener, and ideally be able to drive.
