CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to join our team at a well-respected manufacturing company based in Chorley. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to complete new product samples.

• Programming and setting up CNC machines to complete new product samples
• Changing tooling on CNC machines
• Observing machine operation to verify accuracy and detect malfunctions
• Adjusting machine control and verifying first piece inspection
• Monitoring work being undertaken and completed, testing and taking critical measurements
• Performing varied manual machining and finishing tasks on range of components

• Engineering background with a minimum of 2 years' experience
• Ability to read and interpret component and assembly drawings
• Experience inspecting products and production
• Experience with production process evaluation and improvement
• Good IT/computer skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Ability to work under own initiative
