This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic and inclusive environment where prior technical experience isn't always necessary for success. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of Asphalt/Readymix/RMX operations or experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor and working on the day-to-day operations, including mixing asphalt using advanced computer-generated programmes, operating the weighbridge, driving mobile plant, and other site duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the team to ensure customers receive good quality material and on-time deliveries
  • Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
  • FOLLOWING SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensuring Plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
  • Inspections on the plant and acting on defects and implementing remedial action
  • Maximising plant availability
  • Keeping housekeeping around site to a high standard

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Asphalt/Readymix/RMX operations or experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  • IT Literate - essential
  • Previous experience in mobile and plant operations would be highly desirable
  • Shovel License – highly desirable
  • Good Timekeeping – flexible as to the sites production requirements
  • Good Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management

The estimated salary for this position is around £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
