Job Overview

This apprenticeship program is designed for individuals with a genuine passion for engineering and technology, offering a unique opportunity to develop skills and expertise in mechatronics maintenance.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated equipment
  • Fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification of issues
  • Planned and preventative maintenance activities
  • Modifications and upgrades to existing equipment

Working alongside experienced technicians, the apprentice will develop expertise in areas like electrical, electronic, and control systems, mechanical engineering principles, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and safe working practices and maintenance procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Be a UK national or have the right to work in the UK
  • Have lived in the UK or an EEA/British overseas territory for 3 years or more prior to commencing the apprenticeship
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government-funded course ending August 2025 or later
  • Meet minimum GCSE requirements: Maths, English, and a science/technology subject
