Job Title: Light Commercial Vehicle Technician

At Pybus Recruitment Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our client's busy service team in Stockton-on-Tees. Our client is a leading dealership with a turnover of approximately £250 million and employs over 700 members of staff across 12 dealerships and 1 dedicated service centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting diagnostic tests on light commercial vehicles to identify issues and provide accurate repair solutions. This will include performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, as well as repairing and replacing parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ in automotive maintenance and repair or equivalent, proven experience as a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar role, and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical and electrical issues in light commercial vehicles. They will also have strong knowledge of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

As a valued member of the team, the successful candidate will receive a fantastic uncapped bonus with an OTE of over £40,000 per annum, overtime rate of 1.5x, company private pension, employee discounts, and further discounts for friends and family on services. They will also have access to manufacturer training, manufacturer-specific qualifications, tool box cover up to £15,000, career progression within the business, and 32 days' holiday (including Bank holidays) rising with length of service.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting diagnostic tests on light commercial vehicles to identify issues and provide accurate repair solutions.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Repairing and replacing parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
  • Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure satisfaction.


Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ in automotive maintenance and repair or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar role.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical and electrical issues in light commercial vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
