Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessments and psychological interventions, team formulation, consultation, training, service evaluation, and supervision of other qualified staff.
Main Duties
The successful applicant will be required to work directly with service users and their families or carers, providing specialist assessments and psychological interventions. Experience of working with young people who are autistic or have a learning disability and have mental health needs is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the improvement of outcomes for our service users. The successful candidate will be part of a rapidly evolving service and will have the opportunity to utilise research, audit, and service development skills across the service.
Person Specification
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology as approved by the HPC, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of highly specialised psychological therapies and assessment methodologies.
- Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical and clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
