Job Title: Regional Advanced Practice Training Programme Director

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Training Programme Director to join our Regional Faculty for Advancing Practice. The successful candidate will work with us to develop and implement advanced practice training programmes across the region, focusing on improving learner supervision, assessment, and experience.

Main Duties:

  1. Programme Management: Develop and manage advanced practice training programmes, including recruitment, progression, and remediation of trainees.
  2. Faculty Support: Work closely with the Regional Faculty for Advancing Practice to support implementation of the NHSE Quality Framework and promote a quality learning environment for all learners.
  3. Workforce Planning: Support effective ICB/organisational workforce planning that includes advanced practitioners across all healthcare settings and professions.
  4. Systems Knowledge: Increase systems knowledge and understanding of the impact advanced practitioner roles can have on service delivery, service transformation, improved patient care, continuity of care, and increased clinical decision making within the multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Resource Development: Support educator development and resource for faculty, trainees, and learners.

Qualifications and Experience: Educated to Masters' level or equivalent level of experience in a senior leadership role in a specialist area and healthcare leadership. Current membership of a regulatory body or Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association. An understanding of AP roles within a range of healthcare settings from all professional groups (nursing, AHPs, and pharmacists).
