We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operations Director to lead and develop the Hull site maintenance team, build and implement the asset maintenance strategy, and contribute to our productivity programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for manufacturing equipment issue resolution, both reactive and proactive equipment upkeep and improvements.
  • Own an effective asset care strategy for the Hull Manufacturing operation.
  • Support in delivering New Product Development projects.
  • Set continuous improvement strategies and goals in collaboration with the OpEx organisation.
  • Develop the standards for asset care excellence.
  • Execute proactive and reactive asset obsolescence mitigation activities to protect supply and product integrity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and collaborate optimally with all levels and cross-functionally within the Organisation as well as with third-party manufacturers.
  • Manage the performance of direct reports and team members.
  • Coach and mentor within Hull Operations department in technical analysis, lean, TPM, and problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible for the management and control of allocated budgets including capital as appropriate.
  • Maintain equipment-related asset documentation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive, hands-on engineering background.
  • Recent people leadership experience and the ability to coach and develop a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve problems via structured methods.
  • Additional program or project management qualifications such as Six Sigma Greenbelt, and/or working knowledge of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) would be advantageous.
