Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers and technicians in creating project plans and setting technical objectives. The successful candidate will provide guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians, creating project plans and setting technical objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction in projects.
  • Ensure application and improvement of Advanced Manufacturing tools and processes globally.
  • Quality execution of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering tasks as defined on PLUS timeline.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering expertise to product innovation process to build manufacturability into new product design.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage on-site manufacturing engineering improvements, including stimulating continuous improvement processes in plants.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to complete product launches.
  • Monitor assembly equipment through development and production startup.
  • Stimulate Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in new projects.
  • Ensure process metrics and compliance with company objectives.
  • Monitor and audit adaptation of manufacturing best practices and standards in the plant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or higher.
  • Proven high-level experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering with managerial experience.
  • OEM or Tier One automotive seating or interior trim work experience essential.
  • High volume automotive manufacturing engineering work experience desired.
  • Project management experience essential.
  • Budgeting and cost control essential.
  • Engineering management and strategic planning essential.
  • Lean manufacturing.
  • Strong IT and manufacturing skills.
  • Previous launch experience essential.
  • Plant layout using AUTO CAD.
  • Equipment selection, purchasing, and installation.
