Estates Flooring Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates Flooring Technician to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Estates department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Work in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations, codes of practice, and trust policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant estate and environment.
- Prioritize and manage work requirements to ensure essential facilities are maintained and that patient experience is not compromised.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of the trust's estates plans and work closely with other estates managers and team leaders to develop works programs.
- Assist with the setup and implementation of safe systems of work, including permit to work and isolation procedures, to ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Plan and manage maintenance works, including liaison with users and contractors, to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and on time.
- Supervise maintenance assistants and operational estates contractors, allocating tasks and prioritizing work as necessary, to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and on time.
- Liaise with the estates helpdesk to receive and respond to emergency works and service complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
- City & Guilds, modern apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, or BETEC or equivalent qualification in a relevant trade.
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience within the required technical trade.
- Time served apprentice or experienced trades person with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and codes of practice.
- Ability to use small tools and carry out fine adjustments to building fabric on a regular basis.
- Ability to concentrate on complex issues and work with detailed information.
