Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Road Safety Specialist to join our team at Security Cleared Jobs. As a Road Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of drivers on our roads. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of road traffic law and be able to communicate effectively with customers.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead our Traffic Management team. You will be responsible for supervising and delivering National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) courses, ensuring high-quality instruction and compliance with UKROEd standards. This includes overseeing course delivery, supervising Trainers, and quality assuring the training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic plans for the delivery of NDORS courses.
  • Support the maintenance of the Force's UKROEd license.
  • Supervise a team of professionals to ensure high standards of training and compliance with UKROEd requirements.
  • Maintain partnerships with regional and national organisations to enhance course offerings.
  • Assist in developing a hybrid approach to training delivery using full-time employees and other provision methods to meet course delivery requirements.
  • Oversee administrative processes, ensuring robust auditing and performance tracking.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure continuous service delivery.
  • Implement a quality assurance process to ensure all training materials and delivery methods meet licensing requirements, legislation, and best practices.
  • Manage day-to-day budgets and resources effectively to maximise service delivery.
  • Investigate complaints related to staff, course location, content, and delivery.
  • Deliver internal learning events for staff, focusing on new legislation and amendments to secure the renewal of UKROEd licences.

Requirements

  • A sound legal knowledge relating to legislation in respect of Road Traffic Law particularly relating to speed, red light and other endorsable road traffic offences.
  • A UKROEd license for the delivery of one or more NDORS courses.
  • Experience of supervising or assessing trainers within an organisation.
  • Demonstrate experience supervising diverse teams in a complex and changing environment within a Learning and Development arena.
  • Able to demonstrate a personal commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in line with force values.
  • Prepared to travel and hold a full driving licence.
