Job Title: Children's Mental Health Support Worker

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Mental Health Support Worker to join their team at a large, successful primary school in Macclesfield.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide specific support for one child with additional needs, including autism, and work with groups and individuals on learning, play, and craft activities. They will also contribute to the day-to-day running of the classroom, including making resources, carrying out assessments, and managing behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specific support and interventions for children across all curriculum areas
  • Lead groups in activities in core curriculum areas such as Phonics, Reading, Maths, and Writing
  • Work with individuals on learning and development activities
  • Prepare resources and areas within the setting
  • Carry out assessments and record information
  • Assist in daily routines for the children
  • Work with children on a range of learning and play activities, indoors and outdoors
  • Liaise with parents
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a UK primary school
  • Supporting in Early Years, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Minimum Level 2), Education Studies Degree, Psychology Degree, or similar
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last 12 months
