Job Summary

Jungheinrich UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Field-Based Forklift Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing on-site repair and maintenance services for our customers' forklifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and Maintenance: Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and efficiently repair various forklift models, addressing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues at customer locations.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on forklifts at customer sites to ensure optimal performance and extend their operational life.
  • Troubleshooting: Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime for our clients.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and standards during all on-site repair and maintenance activities, conducting thorough inspections and making necessary adjustments.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities, including detailed reports on repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  • Customer Interaction: Collaborate with customers on-site to understand their specific requirements, provide technical support, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience within a mechanical or electrical engineering role, with a focus on diagnostics and repair.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering.
