Job Title: Senior CS&A Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CS&A Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a Senior CS&A Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design delivery of CS&A elements on projects, collaborating with Safety, Quality, and other engineering disciplines to meet project objectives and key milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design delivery of CS&A elements on projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Quality, and other engineering disciplines to meet project objectives and key milestones.
  • Author, check, and supervise the delivery of CS&A design tasks, including designs, drawings, assessments, and reports.
  • Monitor and report progress against delivery schedules.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including plant personnel, system engineers, and construction teams.
  • Undertake site inspections and stakeholder walkdowns to confirm design scope and develop design solutions.
  • Produce design and assessment calculation packages, CS&A documents, and input into multi-discipline documents.
  • Provide oversight and review of supply chain produced deliverables to enable RE acceptance.

Essential Experience:

  • General all-round civil and structural design experience, with experience working on alterations and modifications to existing structures.
  • Strong leadership behavior to drive timely delivery of an engineering schedule to quality and cost.
  • Experience of managing projects, developing schedules, and estimates, and managing stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Incorporated Engineer with the IStructE or ICE (minimum).

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in delivering work for SL (preferred).
  • Chartered Engineer with the IStructE or ICE (preferred).
  • Experience in writing safety case documents (e.g. DARs and DJRs Substantiation) (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced working on asset care tasks in the nuclear sector (preferred).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Monitored Worker (preferred).
  • Experience using searching for SL information in Cimage and Icepac (preferred).
  • Proficient in the use of Tedds and Staad Pro (preferred).
