As a key member of our dynamic team, the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the scientific direction of our company. Job Summary:

The Chief Scientific Officer will drive the scientific vision and research direction for our lithium-ion battery recycling program. Focusing on electrochemical and green active material manufacturing approaches, this role will oversee the development and implementation of advanced testing and analytical methods to ensure quality and performance.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Shape the scientific vision and R&D strategy for lithium-ion battery recycling, emphasizing electrochemical and green active material manufacturing.

Advanced Testing & Analysis: Lead testing and validation efforts for active materials, using techniques such as SEM, RAMAN, XRD, and electrochemical analysis.

Electrochemical Expertise: Oversee electrochemical testing protocols for battery materials, including cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic cycling, and EIS.

Technical Oversight: Direct the development of recovery processes for active materials, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and sustainability targets.

Quality Compliance: Establish rigorous production quality control measures, verifying consistency, performance, and safety.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all processes and materials comply with industry regulations and evolving standards.

Fundraising: Support fundraising efforts, identifying and pursuing funding opportunities for research and development initiatives.

Requirements:
  • PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline with a focus on lithium-ion batteries and recycling.
  • Proven expertise in electrochemistry, particularly with lithium-ion battery materials and recycling technologies.
  • Strong background in designing and implementing scientific testing methods.
  • Extensive experience scaling up chemical recovery processes for mass production.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
