About the Role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Education Tutor to provide tailored tuition packages on a 1:1 basis to young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who cannot currently access mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, plan, and deliver bespoke lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels
  • Support and re-engage pupils in their learning, offering structure and continued educational development
  • Maintain weekly reports to monitor pupil progression and work closely with Prospero to ensure effective support
Requirements:
  • QTS or equivalent
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • PECS/Makaton training preferred but not essential
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to individual needs
Location and Working Hours

Varying locations across Solihull, with part-time hours (minimum of 10 hours per week) available during school hours, five days a week. Flexible working hours can be arranged to suit family schedules.

Salary and Benefits

£25 per hour (negotiable), with opportunities for professional growth and development within Prospero Teaching.
