About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Consultant in Acute Internal Medicine at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the ongoing development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Acute Internal Medicine team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, and systems to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to educational programs for junior medical staff, including formal teaching sessions and clinical audits.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Acute Internal Medicine who possesses the following qualities:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Entry on the Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within six months of interview), CESR.
  • Evidence of specific training in acute medicine and/or general medicine.
  • MRCP.
