About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care in Sunderland. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Our residential service in Sunderland is a welcoming and friendly environment, and you can be sure that no two days will be the same. You will be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising, and doing lots of activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs in a residential setting
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Encourage individuals to participate in activities, such as hobbies, sports, and social events
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
