About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mental Health Specialist to join our team at a reputable SEN school in Maidenhead. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support for children aged 5 to 18 with mental, emotional, and social needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioral challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties
  • Assisting students in developing emotional regulation and social skills
  • Understanding Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Demonstrating a genuine interest in working with children or in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Maintaining a resilient, positive, and caring attitude

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with SEN children is not required, but recognized qualifications such as a degree or Level 3 qualifications are beneficial
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work one-on-one and in groups with children
