Aerospace Safety Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety professional to lead and shape the Health and Safety function for our manufacturing company within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Health and Safety across diverse settings, including office environments, construction sites, and production floors.
  2. Work closely with Site Managers to support and guide them in maintaining a safe and compliant environment.
  3. Ensure compliance and best practices in Health and Safety for the group, overseeing the entire spectrum from office staff to production teams.
  4. Visit sites as needed to perform audits, risk assessments, and offer hands-on advice to site teams.
  5. Shape and influence Health and Safety culture across the organization, ensuring high standards are met and exceeded.
  6. Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor staff on Health and Safety protocols, fostering a collaborative and proactive safety culture.

Requirements:

  1. Strong experience in Health and Safety, ideally in construction or manufacturing.
  2. Knowledge of office-based Health and Safety, in addition to site and production environments.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively and influence teams at all levels.
  4. Enthusiasm for visiting sites and getting hands-on where necessary.
  5. NEBOSH certification or equivalent, with a commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
