Electrical Project Specialist for Global Operations

Mammoet Offshore Services is a leading provider of loadout and installation services for large and heavy structures in marine and offshore environments.

As an Electrical Project Specialist, you will be part of a team supporting the safe and successful setup and execution of multi-discipline projects involving ballasting systems, winches, hydraulic jacking, skidding, and lifting equipment on a wide range of projects worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have relevant marine or industrial experience and be willing to travel and work abroad and offshore. This is a permanent position, and we are not looking for contractors or candidates seeking temporary work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unpacking, setting up, installing, operating, and maintaining Mammoet Offshore Services equipment, including strand jacks, diesel-driven hydraulic power units, ballast pumps, winches, hydraulic jacks, and weighing equipment on project sites.
  • wiring and testing electrical systems (new installations and refurbishments).
  • Repairing and fault-finding electrical systems.
  • Rigging and general lifting of equipment.
  • Supporting packing and unpacking of containers according to detailed packing lists.
  • Completing post-operation equipment maintenance checks.
  • Maintenance, preparation, and packing of equipment in the Middlesbrough yard for mobilization to a project.
  • Traveling to various project sites worldwide, both onshore and offshore.
  • Reporting directly to the Foreman and Supervisor on site and the personnel planner in the office.
  • Reading, understanding, and working to site- and project-specific method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, and engineering drawings.
  • Filling out project documentation, such as equipment pre-use check sheets, maintenance records, and daily site reports.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with legal, company, and client safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Complying with and promoting safe working principles, good working practices, wearing correct PPE, good housekeeping, reporting safety observations, near misses, and incidents.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of an Electrical City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or similar qualification.
  • Experience working with low-voltage and ELV systems and their applications.
  • The ability to wire and test electrical systems, read and understand electrical schematics, troubleshoot, and fault-find.
  • Willingness and capability to learn operation and maintenance of Mammoet's specialist equipment.
  • Willings to travel and work within and outside the UK for extended periods, including some offshore work.
  • A current valid driving license and a current valid passport with no restrictions.
Salary and Benefits:

This role offers a salary of £32,000 per annum, with a realistic OTE of £62,000, including overtime and overseas allowance. Additionally, we offer a pension scheme, 25 days' holiday per year, plus bank holidays, and high street discounts through our online platform.
