The firm seeks to expand its expertise by hiring an experienced Senior Associate with 5+ years of PQE experience.

About the Role:

This is a highly exciting opportunity to become involved in all areas of Private Client and Tax practices, serving clients across the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate will work on various tasks, including will drafting, succession planning, and advising on inheritance tax, double tax treaties, and cross-border succession planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Advising on complex tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax principles;Assisting with the creation and maintenance of wealth planning structures, such as trusts, foundations, and family investment companies;Liaising with foreign counsel to tailor a global strategy for clients' cross-border succession planning needs;Providing guidance on tax residency and domicile, and applying reliefs, exemptions, and double tax treaties;Working with trustees and beneficiaries to resolve trust-related issues, including restructuring projects;Preparing and registering lasting powers of attorney;Advising individuals and trustees on philanthropic and impact investing purposes, including charitable law;Guiding clients through reporting and information exchange initiatives;Providing tax advice on residential property holding structures, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and related corporate tax issues.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have strong technical skills, commercial judgment, and the ability to think independently. You should be enthusiastic, confident, sociable, and self-motivated, with excellent common sense.
