Job Summary

The role of the Specialist Aseptic Pharmacist is to contribute to the delivery and development of a high-quality patient-centred aseptic service. This involves participation in internal and external audits, preparation of service improvement plans, and supervision of the aseptic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the quality management system and supporting the development of management and leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities

The main duties of the role include:

  • Providing check and final release of aseptic products to ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Contributing to the effective management of aseptic dispensing staff, equipment, and facilities.
  • Supervising and training staff and students from all disciplines in the speciality.
  • Ensuring the organisation of services supports the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Requirements

The post holder will be a registrant of the General Pharmaceutical Council and have a postgraduate diploma/MSC in a relevant field or demonstrate equivalent professional practice knowledge, training, and experience. Applications are welcome from band 6 pharmacists working towards completion of a diploma/MSC.
