As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales, and maintaining a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all customers
  • Manage sales, including handling payments, operating a till, and maintaining accurate records
  • Assist with the organization and maintenance of stock, including handling pictures and other items
  • Work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive team dynamic
  • Be flexible and available to work weekends and weekdays, including occasional events in the local area

Requirements:

  • Experience in retail sales, handling payments, and managing a till
  • Excellent customer service skills, including face-to-face, telephone, and email communication
  • Availability to work weekends and weekdays, including occasional events
  • Flexibility to work hours per week on a 7-day rotation
  • Ability to handle pictures and other items of stock, sometimes large and/or heavy
  • Attention to detail and good level of numeracy
  • Retail/sales experience essential
  • Familiarity with EPOS systems an advantage
  • Willingness to undertake a broad range of tasks and display a can-do attitude
