We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke as a Medical Director. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our multidisciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the multidisciplinary team in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with the team.
- Conduct mental state examinations and undertake appropriate investigations to inform diagnosis and treatment.
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide 24/7 support to patients.
- Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified.
- Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status.
- Experience and knowledge in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
- Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
