Job Description

**Clinical Lead**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality healthcare services for offenders in our prisons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement healthcare strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of offenders
  • Supervise and support junior staff in the delivery of complex clinical interventions
  • Represent Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in prison forums and contribute to the strategic direction of offender health services
  • Lead on the planning and implementation of policies and procedures within the service
  • Provide leadership, management, and support to healthcare staff
  • Ensure that the service provides clinically effective interventions guided by national and local standards
  • Develop and foster close interfaces with prison departments and locations
  • Ensure staff are supported to achieve a high standard of practice through regular supervision, support meetings, and personal development reviews
  • Actively promote offender healthcare through information provision, formal presentations, and liaison with prison and statutory agencies

Requirements:

  • Experience in a clinical leadership role
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of offender health
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
