Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising drivers and operatives to ensure adherence to company policy and guidelines, allocating duties, and maintaining vehicles in good working order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Duties and Depot Maintenance: Supervise drivers and operatives to adhere to company policy and guidelines, allocate duties, and maintain depot requirements.
  • Routing Information: Collect and collate routing information from drivers to improve efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with EU driver regulations and Health and Safety policies.
  • Vehicles Maintenance: Maintain vehicles in good working order, report damage to the Operations Manager and Fleet Management.
  • Support and Liaison: Support Fleet Maintenance Manager in presenting vehicles for service and liaising in vehicle breakdowns.
  • Legal Requirements: Assist with legal requirements, including driver and vehicle Tachograph downloads, WTD, and Driver's hours.
  • Paperwork and Data: Ensure accurate and complete paperwork and data inputted into Company systems.
  • Performance Reviews: Carry out regular performance reviews, appraisals, and One to Ones with direct reports.
  • Infringements: Monitor infringements, aiming for a zero target.
  • Licence Requirements: Require a Class 1 Licence with less than 6 penalty points and a good understanding of current transport legislation.
